Cetina River Canyon – where amazing adventures await you.

Bored of the beach? Always wanted to try some extreme sport? The Cetina River Canyon near Split has some of the most thrilling, but beginner-friendly adventures that are out there.

A mysterious and yet unrivaled karst beauty, the Cetina is the largest river in central Dalmatia.

With the magnificent canyon surrounded by spectacular nature, it is one of the most beautiful places in Croatia. In the last 20 years it has developed into the most important center for adventure sports.

A comparison: canyoning, rafting and zipline.

For the adventurers among you who have to decide between one of the above, we have put together a little guide to help you with your decision.

When CANYONING, you walk or swim through the Cetina Gorge, follow the course of the river and move in different ways. You have to climb, abseil (optional) or just walk in some places like a dry riverbed. On the way you will come to waterfalls that flow into natural pools of water. Canyoning is conducted on the upper section of Cetina and lasts about 4-5 hours. The distance that you swim or hike is about 2.5 kilometers.

You’re in the water a lot, so wetsuits are provided. Shoes can be hired for a fee.

The guides will accompany you throughout the excursion and show you what to do. No prior knowledge is required, just swimming skills.

RAFTING is a leisure sport that has become popular in Central Europe since the mid-1980s. In this water sport, a river is navigated in a rubber dinghy.

Most rafting companies operate in the lower section of the Cetina. For example, our tour lasts 3 hours on the river and we stop for swimming, cliff jumping and exploring a beautiful cave along the way (jumping and cave are optional). The distance covered is about 10 kilometers.

The Cetina river is ideal for beginners and even non-swimmers. No previous knowledge is required and families with children from the age of 6 can also take part in the tour without any problems.

Rafts are usually for 4-12 people. We usually have a group of 8 guests plus a guide on board, who of course explains the safety and behavior rules before the start.

ZIPLINE is also known as Flying Fox. You start from a platform that is a bit higher than the platform on the other side of the steel cable. When you launch, you’ll glide through the air until you reach the other side. On your way you can see your surroundings from a completely different perspective.

The zip line through the Cetina river canyon is about 3 km away from Omiš. It consists of 8 steel cables, the participants are secured to a harness with a carabiner.

The total length of the cables is 2,100 m, with the longest being 700 m long and 150 m above the ground. The tour lasts approximately 2.5 hours.

At each cable, one of the guides will demonstrate the descent while the second guide attaches participants to the cable and provides instructions.

Our recommendation is actually to take enough time and experience all 3 adventure tours through the Cetina Gorge. Or just come back.

What is Do Not Track (DNT)?
DNT is a concept that has been promoted by regulatory agencies such as the U.S. Federal Trade Commission (FTC), for the Internet industry to develop and implement a mechanism for allowing Internet users to control the tracking of their online activities across websites by using browser settings. The World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) has been working with industry groups, Internet browsers, technology companies, and regulators to develop a DNT technology standard. While some progress has been made, it has been slow. No standard has been adopted to this date. As such, our site does not use "do not track" signals.
